'Moon Dust'

Moon Dust is a concept that I had been wanting to shoot for quite a long time, though it ended up being my last shoot for 2013. I wanted to experiment with gold-leaf inspired make-up and the insanely cool tones that it produces on camera. I also wanted to complete a series with distorted hue and saturation values, in order to achieve an outer-worldy feeling, in comparison to my usual more natural style of editing.

I had a lot of fun with the post production because I had no restrictions on how dramatic I could be in certain area's. The eyes were especially groovy to fiddle around with!

My friend Becca is the most insanely bubbly, uncontrollably happy person I have met in all my 20 years. She also happens to be a very talented dancer, which is more than handy for me.

We met up along the beach before sunset, and I allowed the lighting to be the building block for many of the images. It was one of my last shoots for 2012 and inspired me to take a similar route of action for upcoming shoots in 2013.

'The Forgotten Nomad'

'The Forgotten Nomad' is a personal concept of mine that I organised in collaboration with Nixi Killick's designs. Nixi is a talented Melbourne designer, who's collections inspire imagination, wonder and as a whole are quite awesomely cooky.

Mens Fashion.

Late last year I was asked to photograph my first mens shoot. It was a burberry styled shoot with two very enthusiastic models who had to fight wind and rain with me to perfect each shot. We were lucky enough to find an area that held remarkably good lighting, considering the terrible weather conditions.

And although we had to overcome the elements, it was another perfect example of how Melbourne really does get you prepared for anything!

'The Dreamer' shoot.

Late last year I was lucky enough to be involved in a shoot at the Nicholas Building in Melbourne. The building was filled with inspiration with its historical architecture and maze-like floor plan. We traced the halls chasing the soft light, which was falling delicately through the windows, that lined the magical building.

The inspiration behind the shoot was an imaginative tale of a girl dreaming of the outside world. She constantly wonders about the mystery and adventure that lay beneath her feet, though the fear of the unknown keeps her from her desires.

'Escapism'

This shoot was one that I organised as part of a University assignment. The model is Alana Cosic, an unsigned model available for contact at: http://www.modelmayhem.com/2626213. The concept was based around the idea of escaping from the mundane tasks that we undergo daily, as a part of a routine that surrounds our lives. During the shoot we explored the idea of escaping from such routine and finding solace in a private moment alone.

The location was close to my quant little unit on Williamstown beach which provided magnificent views of both the cityscape and of the vast ocean.

Amy Elizabeth Designs.

Around June last year, I had the privilege of shooting an upcoming collection from designer Amy Elizabeth. The shoot was located on the grounds of the old convent in Abbotsford, Melbourne. Ellen-Coyle Hehir joined us to battle the frost during hair and make-up, though in the end we were lucky enough to catch a couple of hours of blissful sunshine.
